Comment from Rebecca Sowers: I wanted to introduce myself and provide my contact information so that we could connect in case you were in need of an available home study writer. I have been writing SAFE home studies for four years now for the State of Georgia and can provide an abundance of references from several regions; I am also IMPACT certified. I was also a foster parent for 10 years, worked for the Juvenile Court for 10 years and with them for 21 years, worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice for 21 years, and alongside DFCS for 23 years. I am an adoptive parent as well and I do a fair amount of training with my families and I would like the opportunity to discuss home studies with you even if you are not in need of another writer as I am unfamiliar with private adoption processes. Thank you in advance for your consideration and please let me know if you are open to my request.
Comment from Dora Hills: Hi Good Afternoon, My name is Dora, I am former foster child (in care age 2-18yrs). I host empowerment classes for families and children/ adoption/ foster placement. I understand the challenges for blended families, learning cultural hair routines for both children, guardians, parents and care takers. I offer classes to teach families about African American hair maintenance. Making natural hair products from scratch, hair care routines to ensure hair growth and maintain a beautiful appearance. Looking and feeling great about oneself is essential. It encourage the child to maintain a positive self image and a great starting point for loving themselves. In the classes we talk about: -Self-care/self love -Homemade Hair products -Hair Care Routines -Emotions and Hair -Healthy eating -Goal planning -Vision board -Hairstyling -Products Usage/Purpose I am really excited to offer this class for the families!!! Please contact me when you can. Thank you for reading. Dora Hills-Bennett
