- Bay Area Adoption Services (BAAS) is a parent-led, non-profit, international adoption agency. Our mission is to find and support loving, able parents for orphaned, abandoned or relinquished children. The child's welfare is our primary concern.
- Adoption Process
- Stage 1: 3 - 6 Months - Pre Adopt Class, Homestudy Documents (submit to BAAS), Homestudy Meetings (4), Overseas Program Consultation, Finalization of Homestudy. Notarization of homestudy to be done once all documents have been submitted by the family to BAAS; 2 - 6 Months - United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) Approval; Stage 2: 1 Month - Dossier Preparation and Translation, Submit Dossier to Foreign Country; 6 – 36 Months - Wait Time for Referral, Wait time varies greatly based on a number of factors, Program consultation will provide country specific information, Acceptance of Referral; Stage 3: 1 - 8 Months - Travel to Foreign Country to Pick up your child; 6 Months-3 Years - Post Placement, Finalization of Adoption
