The Datz Foundation of North Carolina

The Datz Foundation of NC, a separate legal entity from The Datz Foundation of VA, MD, and DC, was founded by Mark Eckman and Vivian Datoff in 1993. Since then, it has become North Carolina’s leading for-profit adoption agency offering domestic placements through the Datz Foundation of VA, as well as pre-placement assessments (home studies) for residents of the state. Our North Carolina headquarters are in Concord, Cabarrus County, north of Charlotte. Our street address is 235 Cabarrus Avenue, E., Concord, NC 28025. Our in-house counsel is Amy Sue Davis, an attorney with many years of experience in adoption law. We have social workers located throughout the State of North Carolina, and have served families from as far east as Duck and as far west as Asheville. North Carolina families wishing to pursue an intercountry adoption through Datz first obtain a pre-placement assessment from The Datz Foundation of North Carolina, and then subsequently contract with The Datz Foundation of Virginia for the international placement.
