HFS is an accredited, California state-licensed adoption and foster care agency dedicated to uniting children and infants in need of a loving home with hopeful adoptive parents and families. HFS provides direct services to birth parents, prospective adoptive parents, adult adoptees adopted through the agency, and interim foster care providers. Since 1949, the agency has worked to fulfill the vision of founders Bob and Delores Hope, who established Holy Family Services to help find permanent adoptive homes for orphaned and at risk youth, and for infant children whose mothers found themselves unable to care for them. In 2007, HFS became an institution of the Los Angeles Episcopal Diocese, under the leadership of the Right Reverend J. Jon Bruno. In addition to providing the residents of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and San Bernadino Counties with adoption and foster care services, HFS administers birth parent counseling and conducts home studies for prospective adoptive parents involved in inter-state and international adoptions as a state-licensed Adoption Service Provider. HFS believes that loving families come in all shapes and sizes, and that all employees and applicants deserve equal opportunity. We don’t discriminate in delivery of services or employment opportunities on the basis of race, ancestry, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, military service obligation, veteran status or any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws. HFS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
