Details:: Adopt Kids, Incorporated (AKI) is a non-profit, 501c organization. We are also established as a licensed child placing agency in the states of Missouri and Washington. We provide adoption support services to prospective adoptive clients in Missouri and Washington. These services include referrals to placing agencies as well as home studies and post-adoption (or post-placement) supervision. Clients contract with AKI for the services they need to work with their placing program. Adoption laws in most states require that clients work with a licensed social worker and/or licensed child placing agency in the state of residency for home study and post adoption services. (Although clients can typically adopt a child from placing programs in the state of their choice they must complete a home study and post-adoption services by a licensed social worker/agency in their own state). All of our staff are fully licensed with years of experience in the adoption field. Our board is comprised of adoptive parents who also view AKI as a way to positively support the adoption community.
